Dribbling a soccer ball is one of the hardest things in sports to master. Coordinating your feet with each other along with ball is very difficult. Add in other players trying to steal the ball from you and it becomes a serious challenge. This is a necessity for playing soccer. Here are a couple Soccer training for agility drills that will allow you to move quickly and easily.

  • 5-10-5 Drill


This soccer training for agility drill will improve your lateral agility and your change of direction speed. Place 3 cones at 5 yards apart from each other, all in a straight line. Start at the middle cone in a crouched position with one hand touching the cone. Turn and sprint in the direction of the hand you had touching the middle cone. Touch the far cone with the same hand. Turn and sprint past the middle cone to the far cone and touch it with the opposite hand. Finally, turn and sprint through the middle cone. You should always be facing the same direction, sprinting 5 yards, then 10 yards then 5 yards. Perform this soccer training for agility drill in bother directions.

  • L- Drill


This soccer training for agility drill will improve your change of direction speed and multi-directional agility. Place 3 cones at 5 yards apart and in an “L” shape. Start at one of the end cones. Sprint to the middle cone and touch it, then turn and sprint back to the initial cone to touch it. Turn and sprint, turning around the middle cone and head to the last cone. Sprint around the third cone in a half figure 8 patterns. Sprint back, turning around the middle cone, and through the starting cone. Always make your turns facing the cones. Perform this soccer training for agility drill in bother directions.

Performing this soccer training for agility drills will improve the quickness and ease with which you move as well as making dribbling a soccer ball a lot easier. Remember coordinating your feet with each other and the ball is very difficult, so training your feet to be quicker will only make this skill that much easier.
